The Big Move

After 37 years on Navajo Avenue, Pirate made the big move to Lakewood. Facing a tripling of rent, we had to deal with the inevitable and began our search for a new site to relocate to. We looked everywhere in Denver; found several great locations, got really excited but every one fell apart. We were getting worried! We had been in talks with the people at 40W arts district in Lakewood as a remote possiblity. Their enthusiasm was infectious and when they approached us with a potential location. We went and looked and quickly decided that we a little effort, we could make it work. Turned out to be a lot of work but thanks to a cadre of Pirates including Charles, Bug, Brian, Lisa Robert, Justin, Eric and the rest. Even Phil donned a hard hat.
